Shopping For an LCD TV - How to Get the Best Buy
For many people shopping for an LCD TV, the central issue is the price. Other people are searching for the best picture and sound quality, perhaps, or a specific set of functions (such as Full HD, HDMI, 1080p, LED display, etc.).
In the matter of price, which is the good news is that the traditional big brands Sony, Samsung, Philips, LG, Panasonic, Sharp - etc - have become more price competitive. In fact, the big brands are always price competitive, that the so-called cheap LCD TV brands arenecessarily cheaper than the big brands, especially in the current economy, where the big brands to compete hard.
For example, in a recent review by the choice of 42 inch / 106 cm LCD and plasma TVs, the cheapest was followed by Sanyo, a Samsung model as Panasonic and Philips.
Some cheap LCD TV brands (which are sometimes also called "no name" or "value" brands) can be available only in a country or a few countries, while others are at the disposalWorld. LCD-TV brands in this category include Vizio, Kenmark, Viewsonic, Kogan, syntax, TCL, Polaroid, UMC, Olevia, Daewoo, Westinghouse, iLO, Goodmans, TEAC, Norcent and Zenith?
Of these brands Vizio is the most successful by far. Revenue figures include the U.S., sold 21.6 percent of the total Vizio LCD TVs shipped in the first quarter of 2009. This is an increase of 50% of the Vizio's market share reached 13.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008. As such, Vizio has become thebest-selling LCD TV brand in the U.S.
Whatever the question of interest to most people about cheap LCD TVs are they good? The answers to these questions turn around, what are the criteria for the purchase, you care about. A low or at least reasonable price, is of course important for most people, but what do you get trade-off at a lower price?
If you check out Cheap LCD TVs, you'll see that some people hate to love, othersthem. Some customers have never been a problem with their TVs, but others have errors and then have problems with customer support get to try their problems are solved.
In the July 2008 issue of Popular Mechanics, they compared the Samsung LN40A650 LCD TV to the VU42LF Vizio LCD TV. At the time of review, the Samsung was more than twice the price of the Vizio ($ 2700 vs. $ 1100). The reviewer considered the conclusion that while the Vizio looked good in itself, when compared side by side withthe Samsung, the (large) difference in price was justified.
So here is our LCD TV Buying Guide and Tips:
1. Define your buying criteria - size, equipment, budget development, etc. Write them down in order of priority (so you know what one is willing to give up, when first prize is an issue that could).
2. Using LCD TV reviews from the Internet and elsewhere provide that a selection of LCD TVs in your purchasing criteria. (Review sites like epinions.com are good forthis).
3. Go and see the shortlist in a store "in the flesh." Ideally, you will find in the LCD TVs to your shortlist together or at least within a short period of each other with the same starting material. That means a favorite DVD with you and spend at least a few minutes it looked at every inch LCD TV.
4. It is not uncommon that the TV that you can find the best, not in your budget range. If this is the case, find a second best choice is within your budget.
5. OnceThey have a list of LCD TVs, you would like to use at home, you can now negotiate the best deal. Remember, the Internet is not necessarily the cheapest.
So watch out for Internet scams, because unfortunately there are plenty of them around. Before you buy from an unfamiliar e-tailers, research who they are and what their track record is as with sites like resellerratings.com and ripoffreport.com.
Good shopping opportunities!

| Review by Susan L. (CENTRAL FL) 2010-07-10 Good TV initially. I ordered this to watch tv when using my treadmill--I was less concerned about features.
