This is my first review and my first jump into the arena HDTV. I waited for quite a while 'time to buy an "almost perfect" TV for a great price. Was my eye on the 55xbr8 as likely to have a superior picture quality thanks to its LED backlighting. Even in function was the super-slim Samsung B8000. I have turned off the Samsung because of its limited connectivity options and a review written by the owner of one who said that the backlight board causing a halo effect around the television in a dark room. I decided to go with the 52xbr9 because of its moderate depth, built-in speakers hidden in Internet video and widgets, and the price much cheaper than the 55xbr8.
I had this baby in 3 weeks and are still learning how to get the best from it. Out of the box, I was blown away by how great the picture looks. HD channels really come alive. The SD channels are just OK. DVD looks good, added with a little help from my OPPO DVD player. They never bought one
