Details and colors on this TV is phenomenal, especially considering the price. I got compliments on the image several times, in some cases of people who normally have adapted to these things.
The main concern with plasma is image retention and that is certainly something to consider. However, I have problems every day, despite the use of television to play games, watch TV in 4:3 mode and the obsession with stabbing networks have their logo somewhere on the screen.
That said, finding a quality LCD TV like you have to look far more expensive.
